Elisha Fashion and Design Youth Support Foundation is a community-driven NGO dedicated to empowering vulnerable youth through education, fashion, and design. Our foundation was established with the vision of providing training, mentorship, and resources to youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them create a better future for themselves and their communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate, empower, and uplift young men and women, especially from poor families, by providing fashion design training, school uniforms, and entrepreneurial opportunities. We aim to create sustainable change by focusing on self-employment, gender equality, and environmental conservation.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every young person, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Through education and skill-building in fashion design and other sectors, we hope to see empowered youth contributing positively to their communities and becoming leaders in their fields
Our Objectives
To provide fashion and design training to youth from low-income families, helping them build sustainable careers in fashion and design.
To offer school uniforms to children in need, enabling them to attend school with dignity and confidence.
To promote gender equality by providing education and leadership opportunities for young men and women, including those with disabilities and other marginalized groups.
To raise awareness on environmental conservation through community-led projects and sustainable practices in fashion and design.
To empower youth with entrepreneurial skills that foster self-employment and create lasting, positive impacts in their communities.
Founded by Elisha Shombe, a seasoned fashion designer with over 20 years of experience, our foundation’s core values are rooted in integrity, education, and community. We strive to provide tools, resources, and opportunities that allow youth to overcome challenges and succeed in life.
Wape Tabasam — Give them a smile — is more than just a slogan. It’s our way of showing that every child, no matter their circumstances, deserves the chance to smile and succeed.
